Southern California punk group Decry are celebrating their 30th anniversary this weekend, but really the group started back in 1982--32 years ago--as part of the first wave of California hardcore bands. They weren't one of the big names like Black Flag, G.B.H. or Circle Jerks, but they toured the States a bunch of times, and played with all those hardcore heavyweights. They are a particularly dark, aggressive, tight outfit, yet they also throw some old school punk influences, like Dead Boys, into the mix. They've played on and off over the years, and are working on a new album this year, their first in 20 years. (Aaron Carnes)
