We are excited to announce that DAVE A'BEAR will be taking the reins for Dead Set On The Bay IV. A'Bear, known for his work as lead guitarist and vocalist of Melvin Seals & JGB, is currently touring with Steely Dead. We are Grateful he can join us from Colorado. We can also share that NATE LAPOINTE (Cubensis) has been confirmed for this 4th sailing of DSOTB! We look forward to Stu being back on the boat soon, hopefully for DSOTB V!
Dead Set On The Bay IV, the long-awaited triumphant return of the Grateful Dead Sunset Live Music Cruise, will now tentatively sail on Sunday, July 30th from 5:30 till 9:30 pm aboard the Luxe Cruises Fume Blanc out of Alameda. All Ages, P.A. system on all three decks, Grilled Cheese, Paninis, handmade goods, clothing & art and snacks for sale.
We are excited to be sailing with Luxe Cruises out of Alameda on the Commadore Fleet, where there is plenty of safe parking and the staff love us! The Fume Blanc is a beautiful and elegant triple-decker ship that can accommodate 340 passengers in high style. She resembles a turn of the century riverboat, with three bars, two climate controlled decks and an expansive open-air sundeck.
The band will perform on the lower level deck, which features a dance floor and a cash bar, with limited VIP window seating. There will be a second PA system on the 2nd deck, where there will also be a cash bar and heady Deadhead merch for sale. On the third deck, enjoy open air views of the Sun Setting on the San Francisco Bay, The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and more. You can enjoy the music in perfect stereo this time on the entire boat including while you are outside by renting Silent Disco Headphones on the boat .($10 fee)
Very limited VIP Ultra/ reserved seat tickets include a limited edition signed and numbered commemorative poster by Katie Kincade, a lei, a drink ticket and priority boarding.
