UNPLUG! presents a Nu Disco/Funk/Soul/Boogie night dropping newer tracks, as well as a few classics sprinkled in. We play songs and artists that are less commercially known, to keep the SF music scene diverse and fresh. There are already way too many sing-along nights and tribute parties, and it's making this city stale and repetitive.
You may hear some semi familiar artists like Chromeo, Breakbot, Duck Sauce, Daft Punk, Lifelike, Purple Disco Machine, and anything on Ed Banger Records, but the majority of the night will have music that you'll be Shazaming all night. We're taking it back to a time when the DJ introduced people to new music, and wasn't just there to take requests and act fake for social media. No, we aren't jaded. We're just trying to bring substance back in an era of hype, with too many people just playing it safe.
