Danny Delorean + Cat Club Presents: UNPLUG! Dark Electro Party Every Sunday (4 DJS, 4 Video Game Stations, Stack of Board Games, Vibes)

Calling all Cyborgs and Androids to UNPLUG with us at Cat Club, Sunday Dec 29th, for night 37 of our weekly dark electronic music party.

(Now for the tl;dr writeup)
We are more disconnected from each other than ever before. We are glued to screens all day, and are interacting with each other less and less in the real world. We date on apps, take taxis without drivers, buy things online, get takeout delivered, use self checkout, take online classes, have zoom meetings, work remotely, play video games with people in separate houses (or countries), communicate via social media and text, watch DJs livestream more than in person, have ai create our art, and so many other things that are depriving us of much needed community and human interaction. There is an epidemic of loneliness, depression, anxiety, addiction, and suicide as a result, so I wanted to create a space where people can unplug from all of the noise, and reconnect with each other. A place where anyone can feel comfortable being who they are without judgement, chat with a stranger in a welcoming environment, be goofy and childish without guilt, and not have the urge to pull your phone out every few minutes for a quick dopamine hit. This may be an overzealous pursuit, but at the very least, hopefully we can fight brain rot for just a few hours.
I'm also tired of nearly every event and DJ playing it safe with their watered down, commercial music, and pandering to normies with no taste. It's boring. Let's get weird and step out of our comfort zones.
