Jeff Greenwald has been one of the Bay Area’s best-known travel journalists for more than 30 years. "Strange Travel Suggestions”, his first solo show which was based exclusively on his stories, enjoyed six separate runs at The Marsh. For the show at Stage Werx on Dec 10, Jeff’s chosen 10 of his favorite stories including several heard on NPR’s "Snap Judgment”, and with the help of the audience, he’ll decide which of these wild tales to tell.This show is expected to sell out.
Oakland-based Jeff Greenwald is the author of six popular travel books, including "Shopping for Buddhas", "The Size of the World" and "Snake Lake." He created the Internet’s first travel blog in 1994. Jeff’s work is widely anthologized, and his articles and essays have appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic Adventure, Wired, Afar, and many other print and online publications.
