Daedalus Quartet in a Russian Inspired Concert

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Praised by The New Yorker as "a fresh and vital young participant in what is a golden age of American string quartets," the Daedalus Quartet has established itself as a leader among the new generation of string ensembles. Since winning the top prize in the Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2001, the Daedalus Quartet has impressed critics and listeners alike with the security, technical finish, interpretive unity, and sheer gusto of its performances.

This amazing quartet of degree holders from the Juilliard School, Curtis Institute, Cleveland Institute, and Harvard University brings technical fireworks, breadth of emotion and sheer beauty of playing to their performances. Tonight's Russian-inspired program features three masterworks: Borodin's String Quartet No.2 in D Major; Mieczyslaw Weinberg's String Quartet, Op. 66 No.8 and Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 59, No. 2 (commission by the Russian ambassador in Vienna, Count Andreas Razumovsky).

Come join us for this fabulous concert and join us afterward at our hosted reception to mingle with the performers!
