The Cypress String Quartet performs its final, 17th Annual Call & Response program, which will explore the theme of "Tragedy & Comedy" and will feature the world premiere of composer Dan Coleman's String Quartet No. 3, "together, as the river." Coleman's new piece will be performed alongside the two works that inspired it, Beethoven's first (Op. 18, No. 1) and last (Op. 135) quartets, on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 8pm at Herbst Theatre (410 Van Ness Ave.).
