Amazing Bay Area Musicians Playing Original Music, No Cover, Plush Venue.~~~Featuring: DJ GozDJ Goz (aka SF-based Michael Gosney) has been producing transformational events since the 1980s: Digital Be-In series, Burning Man Community Dance series, and underground and above ground gatherings of all kinds. He began DJing psy-trance and downtempo grooves in 1998 and that year co-founded an online electronic music portal in partnership with EMusic. He has played mostly West Coast underground/private events, Burning Man and small festivals, often with live music collaborators. He offers a varied mix of classic and current psy-dub, progressive grooves and tribal trance, always in response to the set and setting. Rhiannon Ledwell & Mathew Johnson (sitar & tabla)Rhiannon Ledwell is a sitarist from the Maihar Gharana of North Indian Classical Music. She currently studies at the Ali Akbar College of Music with Alam Khan, son and disciple of Maestro Ali Akbar Khan, and with Arjun Verma, also a disciple of Khansahib’s. She received her BFA in Music Composition from California Institute of the Arts.Rhiannon performs at concerts and events around the San Francisco Bay Area, and also works as a composer, music transcriptionist, and arranger, using her unique background in both Western and North Indian Classical music.
