Cultivating Superpower Teams!

SEE EVENT DETAILS
[THIS EVENT WAS RESCHEDULED FROM JANUARY 30th]
Join Tina Dao, Senior Director of Research & Innovation Operations at Fitbit, in exploring how she’s cultivated Superpower Teams of trust and lasting connection, through operationalizing and systematizing behavior across diverse team environments.
The importance of diversity on team performance has become a commonplace concept across tech, but Tina takes concept to application as a pioneer in deconstructing the tactical factors and data behind why this is. Previously the Senior Director of Product Engineering and a veteran in the tech space for over 10 years, she’s fine tuned her passion for diversity and inclusion, to build engineering teams with more than 3X the industry standard of diversity in the field, that perform 10X more effectively than their counterpart teams.
This workshop will be an interactive dive into her 2D diversity approach of combining people from acquired and inherent diversity, around a common purpose, to demonstrate high levels of collaboration and innovation, that will produce superior results.
Tina will share her unique experience at the intersection of business, engineering, systems development, and operations, to reveal some of the art and science behind what causes her teams to use the term “family” when describing the relationships that result from the container she builds as a leader. She’s has a reputation for capturing the type of magic rarely seen in a business setting, and leads by the philosophy that teammates need to look out for their team members more than themselves, to have each other’s back.
What you’ll takeaway:

Practical examples of how to operationalize inclusive behaviors
Examples of using data to make your case for building diverse teams
Hands-on, intentional inclusive project practices
Recommendations for hiring and practicing inclusion on your teams as a leader

Meet Our Facilitator:
