Join CUE San Francisco and the San Francisco Unified School District Computer Science Department for a Networking and Learning Event all about going beyond the Hour of Code!
Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is an annual program dedicated to inspiring K-12 students to take interest in computer science. It is held in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906). However, you may know CSEdWeek as the "Hour of Code," which has gained tremendous popularity since its inception in 2013.
Join us on January 24th to learn more about how you can go beyond the Hour of Code in your classroom or at your school site to continue the learning with your students! We will introduce you to a wide range of "plugged" and "unplugged" computer science ideas for K-12 students that can be implemented by anyone - from tech novices to CS experts!
This fun networking event will be held at an exciting venue called the Emporium in San Francisco. There will be complimentary appetizers and a FREE Beverage Ticket for anyone who becomes a Premium CUE Member this night! (including wine). We will have some FREE swag for you to take back to your classrooms! Plus, we'll be raffling off some incredible prizes!
You won't want to miss this incredible event - sign up today as space is limited!
This event is open to all Educators and Administrators, and CUE membership is not required to attend. However, if you're not yet a CUE member, go to cue.org/join and become a Basic member for FREE or become a Premium Member for only $40 and gain access to many discounts like 5% – 10% Savings on CUE Events and other Exclusive Offers!
