Artist's Bio
A native of Michigan, Mark Brucestudied piano with Samuel Robinson and Kathryn Heafield at Olivet College. He also studied organ with Paul Humiston at Olivet, and Corliss Arnold at Michigan State University. After several years playing rock and roll and lolling about on the beach in Hawaii, Bruce moved to San Francisco in 1975, and has remained in the Bay Area ever since.
He has performed and directed in churches, synagogues and theaters, as well as playing with choruses, chamber groups and orchestras, including the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and the Oakland East Bay Orchestra. He has performed at Davies Symphony Hall,  the Museum of the Legion of Honor, Grace Cathedral and St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco.
Formerly a vocal coach and accompanist at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he coaches singers and teaches piano and organ at his home in San José. He is Organist of Stone Church of Willow Glen in San José

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There are no ID requirements for the concert series.
The concert space is very open and acoustically live, so it's important to keep audience noise low so everyone can enjoy the music. Children who are able to be quiet for the duration of a :45 to :50 musical performance are welcome.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption is at 1111 Gough between Geary and Ellis Streets. The 38 Geary stops nearby.
Driving? There is also a good sized parking lot, with entrances on Gough and on Cleary Court.
What can I bring into the event?
The performance takes place inside our sanctuary space, so please don't bring in food to eat or drink.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
The Cathedral Music Department can answer your questions from Wednesday through Saturday, between 10 am and 2 pm. Please call (415) 567-2020, extension 213.
What's the refund policy?
You can get a refund on donation tickets up to a day before the concert. You can also give your tickets to other people.
Do I need to bring a printed copy of my ticket?
You don't need to bring a printout. Eventbrite gives us a list.
