Very First Concerts with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra: "With Strings Attached"
Audiences get up and dance in Very First Concerts, a classical series designed with the youngest listeners in mind. Each concert features a central theme, short selections, and tumbling mats for fidgety toddlers, so moms and dads never have to leave a great performance. This year's Very First Concerts theme is "With Strings Attached." Learn about vibrating strings, horsehair bows, what pizzicato means, and why cellos don't have chin rests! Plus lots of beautiful music in these 20-minute concerts.
Repeat Very First Concert performances at 11am, 11:40am, & 12:20pm. Due to popular demand, free tickets will be issued in Crowden's lobby on a first come, first served basis.
Community Music Day is free to all at Crowden Music Center, just two blocks from N. Berkeley BART.
