Creativity, Change, Commitment: A Celebration of 100 Years of the Department of Art

San Jose State Unversity's Art Department celebrates 100 years with a series of exhibitions and programs throughout Silicon Valley. In the Thompson Art Gallery, visitors can gain insight on SJSU's most illustrious alumni from mid-century, including Jay DeFeo, Wayne Thiebaud, Mel Ramos, Robert Graham, Mark Tansey, and Tim Hawkinson. Other exhibitions on-campus include "Gallery 3," a special exhibition of the work of three generations of the Amyx family; and an exhibition of department-produced posters at the MLK Library. Off-campus exhibitions will also be held at the San Jose City College Gallery, the Triton Museum of Art, and San Jose City Hall.
