Using sand, rocks, shells, and natural objects from the beach, participants work alone & in groups to spontaneously create outdoor sculpture. In past years, beachgoers stacked rock towers, planted a forest of driftwood "trees," and created dragons, fairies, & abstract designs.
During this playful event, participants work alone and in groups, transforming the beach into an evolving sculpture gallery.
The event starts with a beach clean up.
Thanks to the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (National Park Service) for helping make this event possible.
Create-With-Nature Earth Day Celebration at Stinson Beach is a 100% volunteer effort, produced by Zach Pine Nature Sculpture and Samavesha.
