The Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton celebrates a brand-new season with the return of the ever-popular County Line Trio Salute to The Kingston Trio. The local fan-favorite group is back by popular demand to present a rousing, foot-tapping Opening Night Concert on Saturday, September 1, at 8:00 p.m.
Known for their original arrangements of the countless hits of the Kingston Trio and others of that iconic folk music era, County Line Trio is also a big draw for the popular banter, jokes, and having a good time with their audiences. The songs on the set list include Tom Dooley, Charlie on the MTA, Scotch and Soda, Worried Man, and Where Have All The Flowers Gone, to name just a few of the classics.
Before and during the show, Cellar Door Wine Bar will be again running the popular concessions bay in the Firehouse Grand Atrium Lobby, offering a range of beverages, including wines and beers, plus light noshes, that can be taken into the theater. Please note, no food or beverages purchased outside the venue are allowed inside the theater.
County Line Trio celebrates their own milestone this season, with their 50th anniversary tour well under way. With all that wonderful music-making under their belts, the group has graced countless music festivals, night club venues, and concert stages across California and beyond.
The group have opened shows for comedian Pat Paulsen, former Limelighter Glenn Yarbrough, country western singer Teri Gibbs, and singer/songwriter and former member of the Kingston Trio, John Stewart. They have also produced several recording projects along the way.
