“Cool Down the Planet with Shovels”
Misho Gallery is proud to host its first exhibition for 2017 in collaboration with Justdiggit, a non-profit organization that jump starts landscape restoration programs with a positive climate impact and to create a global social movement for climate action. As described by Justdiggit, “Our shovel stands for countless opportunities, it turns dry lands back into healthy soils and deserts into farmlands. The iconic shovel deserves to be seen”.
Artists for this exhibit include: Johnny Botts, Chad Glashoff, Gordon Huetter, John Kraft, Paul Morin, Yari Ostovany and Misho. In addition, 4 shovels from Justdiggit headquarters in the Nederlands will be on display.
“Nature of the Work”, the 2nd exhibit feature paintings, photograpy and woodblock prints by Pichai Pongsasaovapark, James Su, Srijai Kuntawang and Misho. This body of work is based on the idyllic scenes of nature with the looming forecast of barren landscapes if man continues its current course with deforestation. In 2016, this exhibition was shown in Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Shanghai. (A percentage from sales from this exhibit will benefit Justdiggit.org) For more info, call 415.655.1838 or to arrange hours for viewing.
