The Ohlone Wind Orchestra will take you from the latest in wind band music back to some old favorites. We’ll preview the exciting new works that we’ve been invited to perform at the 2015 conference of the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles. This is an outstanding opportunity to hear music that you’re not likely to hear anywhere else, including the soaring Riften Wed by Julie Giroux and Philip Rothman’s sparkling Starsplitter. To close our season, the program will also feature several classic wind ensemble pieces, including Holst’s Second Suite for Military Band and Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Grainger.
