Con Brio with King Dream and ADAR
Con Brio is an elastic and explosive seven-piece band that makes emotional music at the intersection of soul, rock 'n' roll, pop and R&B. A Bay Area institution with an international following, Con Brio has spent more than a decade touring the globe, playing venues ranging from packed clubs to some of the world's biggest festivals, and enjoying a formidable reputation on the strength of their exhilarating, sweat-drenched live shows. They've been described as "infectious" (Washington Post), "a party-punk version of Sly and the Family Stone" (Consequence of Sound) and "the best live band in America" (Pop Matters).
Meanwhile, the veteran rhythm and horn sections of Benjamin Andrews (guitar), Jonathan Kirchner (bass), Andrew Laubacher (drums), Marcus Stephens (saxophone) and Brendan Liu (trumpet) remain tight as ever, weaving together grooves that draw inspiration from Tower of Power to The Alabama Shakes, with each and every member contributing lyrics and arrangements. The result: A record that finds a seasoned band infused with an undeniable sense of freedom, excitement and discovery.

King Dream is a Bay Area rock 'n' roll band helmed by Oakland native Jeremy Lyon, a lifelong songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who crafts dive bar anthems with heart, brains and soul. Hard-rocking yet poignant, his music combines a love for American rock masters like Springsteen and Petty with '60s West Coast psychedelia and more contemporary torch-bearers like My Morning Jacket and The War on Drugs -- all brought to life by a band of Northern California's most in-demand players.

ADAR mesmerizes audiences with metaphor, melody, harmony, and rhythm -- music that emerges from a deeply interior space in which private meanings become shared experience. Blending and transcending genres, she delivers a silken, yet raw sound that is utterly her own. Hailing from Amherst, MA, ADAR has immersed herself in a variety of musical projects over the course of her life - most notably darzo, based out of Charlottesville, VA. Now a solo artist based in Oakland, CA, she is bringing her new vision to fruition. ADAR's debut full-length album, "Our Animal," is expected to be released in 2025.

More about Con Brio
The night before Con Brio headed into the studio to record their first full-length album, 23-year-old Ziek McCarter had a dream. In it, the singer received a visit from his father, an Army veteran who died at the hands of East Texas police in 2011. His father delivered an invitation: Come with me to paradise.
McCarter woke up with a song in his bones. "It was one of the most spiritual moments of my life," he recalls. It was up to him, he knew, to rise above injustice, and to perform in a way that lifted up those around him as well. To make Con Brio's music a place of serenity, compassion - even euphoria - right here on earth.
Paradise, which saw the San Francisco band teaming with legendary producer Mario Caldato Jr. (Beastie Boys, Beck, Seu Jorge), is the result: a declaration of independence you can dance to; an assertion of what can happen when the human spirit is truly free.
Formed in 2013, Con Brio is the offspring of seven musicians with diverse backgrounds but a shared love for the vibrant Bay Area funk and psychedelic-soul sound pioneered by groups like Sly & the Family Stone.
