Company Records was started in 2014 by Chaz B. of Toro y Moi. July 8th will be the label’s first showcase featuring music, art, live projections, and pop-up shop. Upstairs will host a lineup featuring Chaz B.’s debut performance as his psych-ambient project, PLUM, followed by performances from Tanukichan, Madeline Kenney, and Vinyl Williams. Downstairs will feature a showcase from Oakland-based label Hot Record Societe (HRS). Bay Area’s own Mad Alchemy will provide the visuals upstairs, with downstairs visuals provided by HRS. The night will be capped off with DJ sets by Astronauts Etc. and Toro y Moi.
