Community Music Day

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Sunday, March 20, 2022, 10am to 2pm Pacific, in person and online

Crowden's annual free musical carnival for all ages, Community Music Day, will be presented in person and online on Saturday, March 20, 10am to 2pm!

Very First Concerts with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra: "Strings Attached"

San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and Crowden encourage audiences to get up and dance in Very First Concerts, a classical series designed with the very youngest listeners in mind. Join Ben Simon and five SFCO All-Star string players for this family-friendly exploration of the very special qualities of the most important instruments in an orchestra: the violin, viola, cello and double bass. Repeat performances presented both online and outdoors on our campus at 10:45am, 11:30am, and 12:15pm.

String Instrument Petting Zoo, Crowden Performances, Instrument Making, and more!

Kids can explore all the string instruments in a symphony orchestra at Crowden's popular Instrument Petting Zoo. This year, we plan a limited capacity Zoo with increased supervision and sanitization to ensure everyone's safety.

Health and Safety

Proof of vaccination and booster or negative COVID test (within 72 hours) will be required at the door. All patrons over 2 years old must wear masks while on campus, including outdoors. Additionally, we highly encourage the use of high filtration N95/KN95 masks or procedural masks (either alone or with a cloth mask on top). Please avoid the use of cloth masks alone.

How to watch online: Community Music Day 2022 will be presented on Crowden's campus and on Crowden's YouTube channel: youtube.com/crowdenmusiccenter or crowden.org/carnival.

How to attend in person: Reserve your free tickets for one of three event time-slots: 10am to 12pm, 11am to 1pm, or 12 to 2pm. No tickets necessary for children 2 years old and under.
