THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Artist-in-residence Alyssa Block hosts this one-day comics workshop which encourages investigation of the relationships between image, narrative, and the comic book as an art object. We'll analyze other comics, look at film editing techniques, and craft a mini-comic from start to finish by juxtaposing seemingly random drawings together to create a narrative. No prior experience needed, no plan or outline necessary. Bring your favorite pencil and all other materials will be supplied. This workshop is part of Alyssa's summer Artist Residency at Open Windows Cooperative, which is funded through a grant from Southern Exposure.
