In celebration of CCA’s MFA in Comics graduate students making their annual return to San Francisco, CCA is hosting Comics in the City, a summer guest-speaker series featuring three of comics' most celebrated creators including a special reading by graduating students. Each Friday in July, the speaker series highlights various aspects of the comics medium -- from independent publishing to the craft of writing to the future of digital comics. This event features best-selling graphic novelist Raina Telgemeir (Ghosts, Drama) discussing her career and what it’s like creating comics for the ever-growing YA audience.
This event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required to attend this event and the college requires all guests to pressent official photo-identificcation to enter.
Ticket required for book signing and reception.
