March 21, 8pm to 12am (Every Third Saturday)
An evening with a diverse and rotating cast of the Bay's best up and coming comics, each with club or TV credits. A full concert featuring multiple bands, with genres ranging from funk to New Wave, Cumbia to Neo-Soul. All this for only $10 at the historic Starry Plough, classic Berkeley bastion of culture and the arts! Come laugh, dance, and experience something magical!
We are Los Tristes, a comedy collective made up of East Bay Natives. Our founders met at Malcolm X Elementary way back in the year 2000 (just a few blocks from the Starry Plough)! Our team is committed to delivering top-tier events rife with Bay Area flavor: smart, unique, insightful and authentic.
This month, we are accompanied by musical acts Mama Haze, Mona V, Jenn Clemena + Suntori.
Mama Haze is a Bay Area native songstress influenced by the musical talents of Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill, and Bonnie Raitt to name a few. Over the last 2 years, she has co-written and co-produced her album Honey, an upcoming Holiday EP, and an additional unreleased catalog with writers and producers in both Los Angeles and Nashville. Mama Haze is partnered with publishing house Zync powered by Roundhill Music.
Singer-songwriter Mona V grew up singing in church and found a love for writing acoustic-soul music. She has sang at Sacramento Kings and Rivercats games and for Simon Cowell. Mona continues to perform at local coffee shops, breweries, charities, and NBA games.
Jenn Clemena is a San Francisco based multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter. When she was 12 years old, she became obsessed with the game Guitar Hero before she decided to finally learn how to play real guitar. At the age of 15 she became the lead guitarist of a Daly City church (with her drummer, Patrick Malinis).
In 2019 Jenn met Alex Lipar(Sax) and Josh Cnic Nicolas(Bass) and decided to form a group to perform at UNDSCVRD SF. The band is currently recording their first album.
