Comedy for a Spinal Cause

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Argonaut Inc - Avalon Ballroom (see times)
Join us for a great night of laughter for an even greater cause! For one night only thanks to Argonaut we have access to the old Avalon Ballroom, which hosted bands like Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, The Doors, and the Steve Miller Band. It’s a really cool space and you are invited to join us to laugh your ass off...for charity.

All funds raised on the night will go to Arash Bayatmakou and co at the No Limits Collaborative, an Oakland-based 501c3 non-profit who will be there on the night. Their mission is to improve quality of life for individuals with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions. Learn more about them: http://www.nolimitscollaborative.org
There will be wine and beer available and all proceeds generated on the night via ticket sales and drink donations will go directly to the cause.
We have hilarious headlining comedians, cheap alcohol and beautiful people. What more could you want?

Please get tickets early to avoid disappointment. We have sold out in advance for all our previous shows.

Early bird prices are valid until March 4th.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7.45 and runs until 9.45pm

Join us and invite your friends for a great night of laughter and community with a very special group of people and an even more special cause, Wednesday April 5th, at 1268, Sutter St, San Francisco.

Show is 21's and up.

Comedians performing on the night:

Reggie Steele: Currently opening for Dave Chappelle, Reggie was seen on Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-Up, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, Comedy.TV and Nickelodeon. When he’s not touring the country with his jokes, performing for the troops overseas, or cracking up Northern California audiences, Reggie is an actor whose credits include a recurring role on NBC’s Trauma. http://reggiesteele.com/

Stroy Moyd: Stroy is a 29 year old comedian from Oakland, CA. He’s opened for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, the Wayans Brothers, Hannibal Burress and more. He is a 3 time winner of the Fresh Faces Comedy Competition at the LaughFactory in Hollywood, CA and can be seen at the SF SketchFest in 2013 and numerous comedy festivals around the country. http://stroymoyd.com/

Emily Van Dyke is 32 and still on her mom’s cell phone plan. Originally from the Midwest, she's struggled to overcome a monotone voice, nearsightedness and the death of her late cat Patches to become a comic who has an apartment with a washer/dryer inside of it. Emily hosts the comedy dating show "Flirting with Laughter," she performs with the sketch group "Don't Watch This Show Live" and she was the winner of the 2013 Walk the Plank Comedy Competition.

Ronn Vigh: Early in his career, Ronn's naturally brash attitude and acerbic wit earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. It was certainly a fitting comparison as he later became a joke writer for Rivers on E! Television's "Fashion Police."Originally from New Jersey, Ronn's fast talking and fiery personality fuels his blunt and honest take on things. He's a comic who just happens to be gay and regularly performs at clubs, colleges and venues across the nation.

Phil Griffiths: As far as mid-life crisis go, Phil Griffiths’ wife stacks his career in stand up comedy as better than a drug addiction but worse than him having a mistress. With his dry deadpan humor, Phil performs all over the state and shares his slightly off observations on life. Phil has opened for Brad Williams, Jermaine Fowler and Myq Kaplan. Most recently Phil was a top ten finalist in the 2016 San Francisco Comedy Competition. He has also performed in San Francisco Sketchfest, as well as the San Diego, Sacramento, Chico and Santa Cruz Comedy Festivals.
