Climate & Energy in the Trump Era


Three of the Bay Area's climate and energy experts will present the key issues they are concerned about today and their ideas for change as it relates to CA's leadership role in climate change and energy policy.
Each speaker will give a 12-15 min TED talk style presentation to provide the audience with a snapshot overview of the key issues on their mind and provoke discussion about what is happening under the current administration. 
This is part of BAPP’s speaker series dedicated to bringing together alumni and policy professionals on critical international and domestic policy issues.

FEATURED GUESTS:
DR. BILL COLLINS
The 2007 co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on the Fourth Assessment of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Director for the Climate & Ecosystem Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Professor at UC Berkeley’s Dept. of Earth & Planetary Science, and Director of the Climate Readiness Institute.
JAYANT KAIRAM
Director, California Clean Energy, Environmental Defense Fund
Jayant’s work focuses on how California can reach its ambitious clean energy and environmental goals in ways that are affordable, accessible, reliable, and grow the state’s economy. Jayant is an HKS grad.
GIANLUCA SIGNORELLI
Senior Director of Structured Finance at NRG Energy. Gianluca leads tax equity and project finance transactions for utility-scale and distributed clean energy assets. Prior to NRG, Gianluca led Clean Energy Finance at Rabobank and was the Director of Project Development and Public Policy at MMA Renewable Ventures. Gianluca is a SAIS grad.
