The Carmel Music Society is excited to present an evening concert with soprano Clarissa Lyons, the first prize winner of the 2012 Carmel Music Society Vocal Competition. This California native received her Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of California Berkeley where she studied Music and History of Art, as well as her Masters of Music degrees under the tutelage of Patricia Misslin from the Manhattan School of Music and Bard College Conservatory in Dawn Upshaw's Vocal Arts Program. Clarissa's talents have won her many awards; she is the winner of the David Adams Art Song Competition, the Ellie Silver Award, and the James Schwabacher Jr. Memorial Award, as well as the recipient of the 2010 Marc and Eva Stern Fellowship and Thelma Fisher Memorial Fellowship.
