Civic Table Chats: Continuing the Conversation

SEE EVENT DETAILS
We'll open up Nopa on Monday morning as we start our week off in community conversation on civics, partisanship and public thought in America.
We'll brew up some AndyTown Coffee and our NOPA Pastry Chef, Alyse Moore will bake off some treats. Join us at Nopa on Divisadero and Hayes for a free and open community conversation as we continue our fall Civic Table Project Series.

All are welcome to join us, no matter of prior conversation participation.
This morning will be devoted to continuing the conversation on politics in the family and what those difficult conversations can teach us about civility in America.
As we gather mid holiday season, this will be a timely conversation to connect with community, contextualize, reflect, ground and empower.

100% of donations will go to supporting The Center on Civility & Democratic Engagement.
"The Center on Civility & Democratic Engagement focuses on preparing current and future leaders to successfully engage people of diverse perspectives in finding solutions for pressing public policy issues.
Public dialogue often lacks civility and efforts toward policy consensus rarely enjoy broad democratic engagement. Today’s hardened lines of political division threaten to aggravate and perpetuate social problems. The need for more effective and successful democratic engagement is clearly seen in the paralysis and acrimony in our state and national governments and violence worldwide. "
