San Francisco City Chorus, under the direction of Larry Marietta, is pleased to present a program of choral works, ranging in mood from mourning to ecstasy, to stir the heart and mind. The program includes two works by Gabriel Fauré—the suave, calm “Cantique de Jean Racine” and the intense, moving Requiem—as well as Benjamin Britten’s delightfully eccentric cantata, “Rejoice in the Lamb,” and spritely “Festival Te Deum.”
The chorus will be accompanied by John R.S. Walko, organist, and musicians from the San Francisco Academy Orchestra. Vocal soloists are Pamela Sebastian, soprano, and Leland Morine, baritone.
Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and college students, and free for children.
