Chick Jagger, America’s only chick-fronted Rolling Stones tribute band, is hosting a holiday concert to benefit San Francisco’s GLIDE Memorial Church. “The Holy Spirit of Rock ‘n Roll” will be held on Friday, December 23rd at Slim’s.
The event will include performances by Malice Cooper (Alice Cooper tribute band), Physical Graffiti (Led Zeppelin tribute band), international soul-rock sensation Amelia Ray, and Chick Jagger, who will headline the event and perform a full set of Rolling Stones tunes featuring special guests. The show will be MC’d by Ace Annese of Reality Check TV, artists/musician Dr. Striker will perform a special holiday blessing, and there will be other holiday-themed guests and surprises.
“We hold an annual holiday party every year,” explains Chick Jagger lead singer Christina Michelle, “This is the first time we’re opening it up to the public, and we couldn’t be more thrilled that Slim’s has partnered with us to make it happen. We saw this as a great chance to do something to benefit the local community, and thought of Glide right away. They have done so much for San Franciscans, and we feel good about the prospect of being able to give back during the holiday season, when Glide’s resources are particularly stretched thin. We’re excited to put on a stellar rock ‘n roll show for those who are able to share this special night with us.”
