Barefoot Chamber Concerts presents really good music in the right acoustic.
This concert features harpsichordist Charles Sherman playing the iconic music of Domenico Scarlatti. Charles is well-known to Bay Area audiences from his regular appearances with Philharmonia, Musica Pacifica, American Bach Soloists and many more groups.
Scarlatti's compositions are extremely demanding and idiomatic. He has a unique musical vocabulary which borrows elements from zarzuela, Spanish Baroque church music, and popular street music.
