Eos Ensemble Performs Jeremy Turner's Score for Chris Doyle's Animation, Swell, at Catharine Clark Gallery
For BOX BLUR 2.0, Catharine Clark Gallery has commissioned Eos Ensemble, the renowned San Francisco-based string quartet, to perform Jeremy Turner’s original score for Chris Doyle’s video "Swell." The evening's program also includes works by Ravel and Shostakovich, and a conversation on collaboration between celebrated visual artist and animation artist, Chris Doyle, and Eos Ensemble's violinist, Craig Reiss.

In its second year, BOX BLUR 2.0 is the gallery's ongoing initiative to support artists working at the intersection of performance and visual art. During the 2016 edition of BOX BLUR, the gallery space was activated as a forum for dance, film screenings, conversation, and education. The mission for BOX BLUR 2.0 has expanded to include music in its definition of performance. Partners for BOX BLUR 2.0 include Chris Doyle, Words on Dance, the San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Jeremy Turner, Eos Ensemble and Alice Gray Stites on behalf of 21c Museum Hotels.
Join us for a vibrant evening of live music and conversation with some of the most eminent performers and artists in the field.

Eos Ensemble will also be performing:  Ravel String Quartet Shostakovich String Quartet no. 8 (Dedicated to the victims of Fascism)
