Free It's Its Ice Cream Sandwiches for the first 500 participants - and, Food Trucks will be behind the Band Shell
Please join us for a free concert before the band shell and under the shady trees of the Spreckles Temple of Music in front of the de Young Museum at Golden Gate Park, honoring the 1,000s of hours of voluntary service of the San Francisco Bay Area's Neighborhood and Community Emergency Response Teams.
The concert will feature a sprinkling of San Francisco pieces which will include "San Francisco Through The Years" a medley of famous San Francisco tunes written for The Golden Gate Park Band's 125th anniversary. Special guests: Rotarian Mike Massoni, Retired Police Chief of South San Francisco will speak during an intermission, as well as representatives of San Francisco NERT and the San Francisco Fire Department.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This is a family friendly event, no ID or minimum age requirements.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking at Golden Gate Park on Sundays is limited, so please arrive early or take mass transit.
What can I bring into the event?
Feel free to bring a picnic. NERT and CERT members, feel free to come in gear to be recognized for your service.

NERT is a free training program for individuals, neighborhood groups and community-based organizations in San Francisco. Through this program, individuals will learn the basics of personal preparedness and prevention. The training also includes hands-on disaster skills that will help individuals respond to a personal emergency as well as act as members of a neighborhood response team.
The Mission of South San Francisco CERT
To protect my family, friends and neighbors from the effects of fires, medical emergencies, accidents, hazardous materials incidents, acts of terrorism or hazards created by violations of the municipal codes through the assistance I and other CERT team members offer to the South San Francisco Fire Department in its efforts to respond to and mitigate emergency incidents or unsafe conditions.
