Celebrating Tom Jones starring David Burnham

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Feb 14, 8pm; Feb 15, 2pm

Award-winning Broadway star and recording artist David Burnham celebrates, through stories and songs, one of the most electrifying performers and iconic voices of the past five decades: Sir Tom Jones. All the hits are on the bill, including It's Not Unusual, Delilah, What's New Pussycat, Green Green Grass of Home, She's A Lady, plus many more. The production features live 6-piece band, with musical director Todd Schroeder.

Special Valentine Weekend shows are slated for the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in Pleasanton on Friday, February 14, at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m.

Starring Broadway's leading man David Burnham ("Wicked", "The Light in the Piazza", and Las Vegas' "Showstoppers" at the Wynn Resort), the show is a journey, rediscovering the passion and prowess that celebrates Tom Jones' career from mining-town factory worker in Wales to one of the biggest superstars and unsubtle sex symbols in the world.

Burnham is lauded for his Broadway run in the mega-hit musical, "Wicked," playing Fiyero, the role that he originated in the show's developmental workshops. He is an original Broadway cast member of "The Light In The Piazza," performing both on the Tony Awards and the PBS telecast "Live From Lincoln Center." Awards include the prestigious "Helen Hayes Award" for Best Actor, and the Best Actor "Garland Award" for his portrayal of Fabrizio in "The Light In The Piazza," among other honors.

Fans and followers note Burnham's first national critical acclaim came when he replaced Donny Osmond as Joseph in the national tour of "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," no mean feat. "Joseph" was followed by another blockbuster national tour playing Peter in "Jesus Christ Superstar."

David performs regularly with symphony orchestras across North America and Europe. Oh, and not least, he continues to be one of the top voice-over "leading men" in animated children's films.

Reserved seat tickets: $28-$38.
