For 20 years, The Singing Tree(TM) Project has invited everyone on the planet to transcend conflict in order to co-create. It was inspired by Meredith Miller, an 8-year old schoolgirl who asked, "What if the whole world made a painting together?" A forest of 99 Singing Tree murals has grown -- drawn and painted by over 20,000 people from 52 countries. Most of the murals have been youth-led with multigenerational participation, demonstrating that co-creation is possible, powerful and beautiful in a time when news is full of stories of division, paralysis and violence.
Unity Through Creativity Foundation has taken on this vision, supporting artistic programs that help build inclusive and beloved communities, with the Singing tree Project being its signature program. The 20th Anniversary of the Singing Tree(TM) Project will be celebrated virtually on Saturday, Oct. 2nd, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm PST, 12:00-4:00 MST, 1:00-5:00 CST, 2:00-6:00 EST. Appropriately, it is Gandhi's 152nd Birthday.
No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
