Celebrate the Year of the Dog with CHSA

at Chinese Historical Society of America (CHSA) (see times)
Come and join the Chinese Historical Society of America before the Chinese New Year Parade on Saturday, February 24, 2018, as we celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year with a full day of interactive programs. There will be free admission to the museum on this day. CHSA will host several activities that visitors can engage in:

Kei Lun Martial Arts will perform traditional lion dancing to begin our celebration.
Living With Dignity-Thriving In Community, courtesy of the YWCA. Photography exhibit by Mark Reynolds, capturing the resilient stories of YWCA residents. On display in CHSA’s Lower Level.
Mural painting activity with Dragon School, in CHSA’s Learning Center.
Chalk mural drawing with Chalk Riot, at Gordon J. Lau Elementary School.

Listed below are the times that the programs will occur:
11:00 am – Museum opens11:00 am – 4:00 pm – Living With Dignity-Thriving In Community photo exhibition, courtesy of the YWCA. Mark and the YWCA team will be on sight for questions and to tell you more about the project between 11-2pm.11:30 am- Lion Dance performance by Kei Lun Martial Arts11:45 am- 3:30 pm – Mural painting with Dragon School in CHSA’s learning center11:45-3:30 pm – Chalk mural drawing with Chalk Riot at Gordon J Lau’s lower playground4:00 pm- Museum closes. Chinese New Year Parade starts 5:15pm
