A new high energy concert in 2 acts paying tribute to two of the most important figures in popular music History, JOHNNY CASH and ELVIS PRESLEY. This is not an impersonator or your 'Hits or ‘Oldies’ show, CASH & KING digs deeper by bringing to the stage not only the hits songs, but also stories of their unparalleled careers. Steven Kent shares his personal stories of meeting both of these two icons, and how they inspired him throughout his performing career. Steven throws in a few surprises from time to time when songs from some of Elvis’ and Johnny’s friends like Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins slip into the set list.
It’s an exciting evening of music like no other when Steven and his band take the stage and bring legendary songs back to life in CASH & KING now LIVE.
Steven's first single as a singer-songwriter “Would He Believe” (a tribute to Elvis and his fans) ranked in the top 50 on the Country Charts.
Over the years, Steven appeared on many stages, and has performed with many legendary entertainers; Johnny Cash, Eddie Rabbitt, Tanya Tucker, The Grateful Dead, Huey Lewis and the News, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Tammy Wynette, Carl Perkins, to name a few.
Steven Kent has been called the "Rock-a-Billy Cowboy Crooner", probably because you'll never see anyone able to perform a wider variety of songs all done with his own style and with seamless ease.
In Nashville Steven appeared regularly at Opryland USA, and made several appearances on the world famous Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree radio program on W.S.M. Radio in Nashville.
