The Cartoon Art Museum welcomes Eric Garcia, creator of Drawing on Anger: Portraits of U.S. Hypocrisy, on Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 1pm to 4pm as part of its visiting artist program Cartoonist IRL (In Real Life). Arrive by 2pm for a presentation in the museum’s Drawing Room by the cartoonist based on over a decade of Garcia’s experience satirizing the political world. The presentation will explain how Garcia uses caricature to visualize prominent individuals in such a way that the public not only recognizes their caricature but also learns something more by their depiction and will include a demonstration of his own artistic process. “Drawing on Anger: Portraits of U.S. Hypocrisy,” a collection of Garcia’s works will be available for sale and signing.
