Cartoon Art Museum Visual Story Design for Adults

Venture into the world of visualizing stories with artist Brian Kolm. In this workshop you will learn to fully develop a basic story idea including setting and character designs, layout, mood, and communication that will build towards creating three story illustrations. Between weeks this workshop includes about 1 hour of practice designed to do in small chunks for busy schedules. In-class supplies are provided. Some minimal art tools may be needed for homework.

These brand-new workshops for adults meet weekly for three weeks: Character Creation for Adults will be held Thursdays, October 13th, 20th and 27th and Visual Story Design for Adults on Thursdays, November 3rd, 10th, and 17th in San Francisco at the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, 275 5th Street, in the Cartoon Art Museum’s temporary educational space.

Taking both workshops will help adults build a more advanced skill set by combining concepts learn in both, but each class is designed to be taken independently.
