Three-time Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello will make a rare concert appearance and her long-awaited Bay Area concert debut at the historic Orinda Theatre as part of the Live At the Orinda concert series. In an illustrious career that has spanned over two decades, Ms Carmello has been honored with three Tony Award nominations and has appeared in 14 Broadway musicals. Her most recent Broadway roles include Mae Tuck in TUCK EVERLASTING and as Mrs. du Maurier in FINDING NEVERLAND (earning a Drama Desk nomination) with Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammar. Some of her other starring roles include MAMMA MIA!, SISTER ACT, SCANDALOUS (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations), Elton John's LESTAT (Tony and Drama Desk nominations) and Stephen Sondheim's SWEENEY TODD. Live At the Orinda opened their One Year Anniversary season with Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner Rita Moreno in a sold-out concert in January 2019. Following Carolee Carmello, the season continues on Thursday, March 14, 2019, when Broadway and TV star Telly Leung (Aladdin, Wicked, Allegiance, GLEE) comes directly from his starring role in Disney’s Aladdin for his first Bay Area concert in many years. Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway (“At the Same Time”) will reunite with Broadway star Liz Callaway (Miss Saigon, Cats) on Thursday, April 4, 2019 for their award-winning show Sibling Revelry. This also marks the first Bay Area duo concert by the Tony nominated sisters in several years. Live At the Orinda will celebrate the finale of the first half of the season, before a summer break, on Thursday, May 2, 2019, with Broadway and West End star Brent Barrett. This will also mark the Bay Area concert debut of the Olivier Award nominee and star of Phantom Of the Opera, Chicago and Kiss Me Kate.
