Old First Concerts proudly presents BEET250VEN, an anniversary festival celebrating The Master's 250th birthday throughout 2020. This series of 4 concerts provides a unique opportunity to discover - and rediscover - his beloved hits as well as rarely performed gems in an intimate setting. Featuring an all-star lineup of the Bay Area's finest musicians, these concerts will focus on piano, chamber and vocal works, including a marathon concert of all 32 piano sonatas in a single day!
The festival kicks off on March 15th, 2020 with an Akademie Gala, a special 3-hour concert evocative of gatherings that happened in Beethoven's time where performers presented a movement from a piano sonata, an aria, or a short instrumental work. Immediately following the Gala, mingle with the musicians during our Brats & Biergarten Reception. Don't miss this unique, one-of-a-kind concert!
