They breathe a fresh wind into timeless traditions of Afro-Colombian and Jarocho rhythms and melodies interspersed with stories of Calafia, the history of our rhythms, and the history of California. A new wind rustling the leaves of age old trees, Calafia Armada plays a range of traditional rhythms and melodies from across the Americas including Jarocho, Puya, Rumba, and most of all, Cumbia.
