San Geronimo Community Center Presents The Third Annual Cabaret Underground Black History Celebration. The musical tribute to literary, civil rights icon Maya Angelou with Mwanza Furaha & Gail Muldrow, sensational performers seen on TV, Movies, in the Theater, in Concert Halls and on Festival bills with top American Artists: Dr. Maya Angelou (Medal of Freedom), Prince (Billboard Icon Award), John Handy (The Beacon Award), Nancy Wilson (Jazz Hall of Fame), Sly and The Family Stone (Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) & many more! They are joined by the Cabaret Underground band. The script by Mwanza Furaha includes her original settings of Angelou's poetry music by John Coltrane. All ages welcome.
