Local beatboxer and songwriter Brooke D. is back in San Jose. Not only does she write thoughtful songs that any Bay Area girl can relate to but she engages everyone at her shows. In addition to the beats she samples live she gets the audience to clap and sing along. She's constantly writing and experimenting with new material so each of her shows will present a new tune or, sometimes, a classic cover. Her latest album, "As We Pictured", definitely shows off her musical talent but hearing and engaging with her songs as she performs is a pure experience unmatched by any other local, solo musician.
