Brian Fitzgerald: Marketing Yourself and Your Band

Known for his long, flowing lines, precise technique, and classic, hard-bop sensibilities, Brian Fitzgerald is an accomplished jazz guitarist, successful band leader, and dedicated teacher who draws from a deep musical background. This class will focus on the often ignored “business” end of making music and will provide some useful tools and information delivered with a lighthearted approach to functioning as a professional in small town and beyond. Topics will range from understanding contracts, maintaining gear, time/band management, and show preparation to efficient and productive practice routines. The class will include Fitzgerald's working band Minor Thirds Trio featuring Hood Chatham on guitar and Patrick North on bass.
