ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
John King is the San Francisco Chronicle's urban design critic. He's been at the paper since the early 1990s, including a stint in the City Hall bureau, but grew up in the Bay Area and remembers when the Alcoa Building was the big new building on the skyline. More local cred: as a graduate student in Journalism at Indiana University, his masters thesis was on Herb Caen's column.
