Boots and the Kats is a funk and soul band that hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally formed by guitarist Mark Ignatius and drummer Jon Farland after both had moved to the bay from Los Angeles and Boston, respectively. The soulful and funky original sound of the group is driven by the powerful voice of Azeeta Nikoui and has grown to include veteran bass player Lucas Goodbody, one-man horn section Shane Cox, and mad scientist /organist, Walter Hannah.
