Once again, Bootie SF is hosting the biggest Santacon After-Party in San Francisco, as a bunch of drunks in cheap Santa suits invade the party! Anyone dressed in a Santa suit or holiday-themed costume gets in for free (but only if they're fully-dressed and not TOO wasted!). It's an annual tradition! To welcome Santa, Smash-Up Derby will take to the stage at 11 PM, playing the most rockin’ holiday mashup set ever! For the Midnight Mashup Show, aerialist Cola Claret takes to the air high above the dance floor for a special holiday-themed performance. In the Main Room, Bootie founders and resident DJs A Plus D, along with DJ Faroff and opening DJ Jimi G, will be spreading the Christmash joy all night long, with a few holiday mashups sprinkled into the mix.
In the Lounge, it’s the Cliché Ugly Sweater Party, as DJs Airsun and Entyme don their ugly sweaters (and encourage you to do the same) and spin music guaranteed to keep your happy feet bouncing across the dance floor. In the Loft, it’s the Global Clash Going-Away Party for Brazilian DJ Lucio K, as he spins his last set of the hottest electronic music from all over the world, from baile funk to global bass. And in the Dazzle Room, it’s Blackout, as Mario Muse and Adrienne Scissorhands spin post-punk, indie, and new wave!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Voted "Best Club Night" for the past nine years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it's a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
