Marijuana and anger don't really mix, and as such, Portland stoner-metal rockers (who are generally full of both) end up creating a sound that is pretty far out there. With song titles like "Super Sluts from Outer Space," "Acid Castle Mountaintop," and "Swamp Gas of the Nevermizer," Blackwitch Pudding occupy the weirder end of the metal spectrum. Their lyrics at first glance seem campy, but the riffs are slow, heavy and dripping with distortion. In other words, these guys mean business. They are a powerhouse of dark intensity.
