Black X Mass is presented annually by Karla LaVey, the daughter of Anton LaVey and leader of the First Satanic Church. This event, which is open to the public, has become a tradition on Christmas night in San Francisco.
There will be performances by The Fuxedos, Pachuco Cadaver, Kitten on the Keys, Bite (S.F. the Band), Theremin Wizard Barney, Zanna Nera (electronica), KrOB (keyboard and video), Fumi (performance art/dance), Wylie Cable, Riki Chen (guitar/song) and maybe more... There are always giveaways and free snacks... Devil's food, I presume! Be there at 9 P.M. sharp for KrOB.

THE FUXEDOS - Surreally comedic, theatrical, punky art rock band -- complete with costumes, props, hefty doses of satire, and bizarrely humorous theatrics. Band members include Diabolical Danny Shorago - lead vox, Wicked Wes Anderson – drums, Mighty Matt Lebofsky –guitar/ keys, Jumpin' Jamison Smeltz – woodwinds, Stupendous Steve Lew – bass. Their touring credits include such bands and acts as Les Claypool, Zappa Plays Zappa, Secret Chiefs 3, Faun Fables, Coheed and Cambria, and Cirque du Soleil. They've individually recorded or performed with everyone from Erykah Badu to Eric Clapton and from indie rockers Silversun Pickups to rapper Game, and have appeared not only on the Guitar Hero and Rock Band game series, but also on Hans Zimmer's score to The Dark Knight.

PACHUCO CADAVER - Pachuco Cadaver is dedicated to paying tribute to the musical genius of Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band. “We are not a Beefheart cover band; nobody could realistically be expected to replicate the sound and texture of the Magic Band except the Magic Band, so we have created a horn-heavy ensemble with a decidedly unique way of arranging some classic Beefheart tunes, as if someone like Maceo Parker had been in charge.”

KITTEN ON THE KEYS - Suzanne Ramsey plays piano, ukulele and accordion. She writes kooky kinky cabaret songs, unearths boundless Tin Pan Alley Treasures and spreads Mirth and Merriment as a solo artist and as the musical mistress of ceremonies with Cabaret New Burlesque in France. She was in Mathieu Amalric's award winning film "Tournee". She has recorded two singles in Paris, France with Electro Swing DJ's Bart and Baker. She sings with Pachuco Cadaver-a horn heavy Captain Beefheart Tribute and plays piano and sings in a variety of music and cabaret nights.
