San Francisco band BIG BLU SOUL REVUE bring their live soul, funk and dance show to Blue Note in downtown Napa on Wednesday, May 15th. The band will be highlighting material from their latest release Tongue and Groovin'.
Big Blu Soul Revue bring their passion for 60’s and 70’s soul, funk, rhythm and blues music to the live stage, sharing their musical influences ranging from soul legends like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bill Withers to funk and jazz artists like Sly & the Family Stone, The Meters, Herbie Hancock and more. The band's fresh approach brings a wide array of infectious dance grooves to their high-energy live show.
In late summer 2018, the band played for thousands of enthusiastic fans at the season finale of the 81st season of the Stern Grove Festival in San Francisco. The band has also recently shared stages and festival bills with: The Revolution (Prince's band), Fred Wesley (James Brown's band), Glen David Andrews (Trombone Shorty's cousin) and many more.
